the brown ones name is bigs

Bismuth said there name bigs and snowflake and she said she they were original crystal gems

its like the nuclear bomb infection from the 3 diamonds after they were hit they instead became corrupted!
I'd like to think of them as the gem equivalent to the librarians. Due to the gems being corrupted their intelligence did deminosh, but not by much. Lile the librarians. Being mutated humans, their intelligence also deminished in the same way.

The corrupted gems in these episodes are the same ones that Bismuth listed in her first episodes, Crazy Lace (or Ocean Jasper) and Biggs (Biggs Jasper).
I mean they left the geode beetles unpoofed
I wouldn't assume they remember their crew but more so that they are of the same corruption species and have been together since being corrupted thus they have an animal instinct to be in a herd or pride like when the giant beast ran together in the snow when Steven and Connie found them

Those two gems are called Biggs and they are a type of jasper.

And now we know that one of them is Biggs..
